Six years ago, I started practicing pilates as a way to strengthen my body in a safe way.  I had drastically changed my diet in order to regulate some health issues I was having, and the change left me feeling weak and out of control. Being a former runner, I found that with the amount of weight I had lost, I was unable to maintain my old fitness regime. Feeling disheartened and not like myself, I did some research in order to find a fitness regime that would allow me to build muscle and get back to my old self.

After reading a lot about pilates, and how it could help me get stronger and more balanced, I decided I wanted to try it out. Within a month, my body was not just back to where it was before my elimination diet, it was even better.  

I felt stronger, looked leaner and overall more balanced. I was amazed. For the first time in long time, I was feeling in control of my body and of my life.

Six years later, I feel extremely fortunate to be able to share my pilates practice with others, and help them to experience the feelings of success and inner strength it gave me.

Pilates taught me that anything is possible. Whether your goal is to lose weight, become a stronger competitor or just get longer and leaner, pilates can help you.
